We are now seeking someone with the ability to see the big picture and who identifies as a clear, structured and service-oriented Parks and Streets Director. You will be part of the Technical and Service operation area together with approximately 130 colleagues who perform tasks within construction and development projects, real estate development, property management, parks/streets, culture/leisure and meal/facility services. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As Parks and Streets Director, you will be responsible for leading the department, managing its economy, planning and developing the department's parks, streets and nature conservation activities. You will be part of the operation area's management group and report to the Technical and Service Operations Manager. The operation mainly consists of operations and maintenance of parks, green spaces, playgrounds, streets, paths and cycling routes, and forest and nature conservation. You have an important role in contributing to the Parks and Streets department's strategic development and creating long-term value and experience of the municipality's public spaces, parks and streets. The assignment is based on your active leadership and development of the operation so that strategic goals are achieved in a cost-effective manner with agreed quality and satisfaction of the operation. The role as Parks and Streets Director also means that you create good conditions for employee development and ensure that the department has functioning processes and adequate system support. As a leader, you have an important task to clarify goals, responsibilities and roles. Main work tasks: • Lead and develop the Parks and Streets department and ensure that the municipality's public spaces, parks and streets are maintained and serviced long-term. • Responsible for the Parks and Streets department's budget and financial follow-up. • Develop parks and streets operations and ensure structure, cost-effectiveness and good communication. • Identify synergies and efficiency improvements through collaboration within the municipality group. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with future vision and clear, present and forward-thinking leadership, with strong collaborative skills. You have higher education as a civil engineer or engineer, or other relevant education combined with professional experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience being a manager or project leader within construction, parks or streets operations. You are responsive, creative, quality-conscious and have an easy time building and developing relationships through good communication skills. You work proactively, take initiative and are forward-thinking and courageous in your leadership. Experience is required and a Class B driver's license is required. Employment type: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start: 2027-01-01 or by agreement.
