Community Center "Cekule" Director (fixed-term position)

Position Purpose: Lead and organize the operations of Community Center "Cekule", promote beneficial, healthy, active and creative leisure time activities for children, students, youth and adults, facilitate the engagement of students, youth and other age groups in projects and various events, and promote integration in society.
Main Duties:
Lead, plan, organize and coordinate the community center's operations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia, adopted council decisions and directives from the municipal executive director;
Ensure the availability of community center services to residents;
Organize educational excursions/events, seminars, promoting communication between residents of different age groups and minorities;
Organize events and lectures on healthy lifestyle, sports, recreation and culture in cooperation with municipal institutions;
Organize and supervise the work of interest groups according to residents' preferences;
Resolve organizational and administrative matters related to community center operations, manage the center's administrative activities, utilizing allocated financial and material resources efficiently and rationally;
Regularly analyze and compile information on the quality of services provided and their compliance with the needs of community center visitors.
Requirements for Candidates:
Higher education appropriate to the position (preferably in education)
Desired experience in social or social-pedagogical work
Excellent communication and cooperation skills
Good digital skills
Advanced state language proficiency
Desired certification in child rights protection
