Jēkabpils novada Kultūras pārvalde (registration number 40900009295) announces an open competition for the position of Gārsenes Tautas nama Director (for an indefinite term)
Main job duties:
1. lead, plan, organize, and coordinate the operations and finances of the cultural center in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements;
2. organize and ensure the implementation of administrative and operational matters for the cultural center;
3. prepare draft documents for institutional management and operational matters;
4. participate in committees and working groups in accordance with directives from the Head of Jēkabpils novada Kultūras pārvalde and prepare necessary documentation;
5. prepare budget estimates for the cultural center and coordinate efficient budget utilization;
6. plan, organize, and lead cultural and recreational events at Gārsenes Tautas nama, in Aknīste city, and at other event venues, and monitor the use of allocated event funds;
7. prepare event plans and draft event budgets;
8. participate in project competitions organized by the city, municipalities, and various funds; promote fundraising for events;
9. establish cooperation with media outlets, inform the public about events and activities, and ensure event promotional campaigns;
10. prepare reports to the copyright agency within specified deadlines and ensure copyright compliance at events;
11. cooperate with amateur arts collectives, coordinate and organize their work, and address various matters related to collective operations;
12. plan facilities and schedules for events and rehearsals, maintain facility order before and after events, and provide on-site support at cultural events if necessary;
13. monitor compliance with occupational safety, data protection, electrical safety, and fire safety regulations during collective activities, concerts, and performances.
Requirements for candidates:
1. higher education in humanities, cultural management, or professional secondary education in the cultural field with completion of a licensed professional development program in cultural management;
2. work experience in cultural management;
3. excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills;
4. ability to set priorities, organize, and plan work;
5. conceptual thinking, positive attitude toward innovation, creativity, and initiative;
6. orientation toward development and achievement of results;
7. proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software in a Windows environment at an experienced user level.
