Brandt is now seeking an experienced and self-driven Upfitter Technician / Vehicle Technician who wants to work with customization and completion of Ford commercial vehicles.
About the Position
In this role, you will primarily work with upfitting, customization, and completion of Ford commercial vehicles. The work varies between installing interior components, ramps, tow hooks, and other equipment to electrical wiring and various vehicle modifications.
The role combines practical upfitting work with technician and mechanic tasks such as service and brake work. You plan and manage your own work and document and handle work orders in Brandt's digital system.
Example Responsibilities:
• Installation of interior components and equipment in Ford commercial vehicles, such as cabinet, shelf, and storage solutions.
• Installation of ramps, tail lifts, and other vehicle modifications.
• Upfitting and installation of, among other things, tow hooks and supplementary equipment.
• Electrical wiring as well as installation and connection of electrical equipment.
• Customization and completion of commercial vehicles according to customer needs and specifications.
• Inspection of function, quality, and final results.
• Independent planning and organization of your own work.
• Documentation, work orders, and work in digital processes and systems.
• Service, brake work, and other mechanical repairs and technician tasks as needed.
We're Looking for You If You:
• Have relevant experience from the vehicle industry, preferably around 5–10 years.
• Have practical experience with mechanic / technician work.
• Can work with upfitting and vehicle customization as well as basic technician / mechanic tasks.
• Are self-driven and can take your own initiative.
• Can solve problems and move work forward without constant guidance.
• Are thorough, quality-conscious, and have an eye for professional results.
• Have good computer skills and can work in digital processes and systems.
• Enjoy working in a small team and are a clear team player.
