About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more employees. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention facilities, and inmate transport. The Transport Department's (TA) task is to transport detained persons. Transports mainly involve Swedish Prison and Probation Service clients, between detention facilities and prisons as well as to court hearings and medical appointments, but also detained persons for other agencies such as the Police, National Board of Institutional Care, Swedish Migration Agency, and psychiatric services. TA is in an exciting expansion and development phase and expects an additional increase of approximately 5-10% per year over the coming years. The Operational Support Section shall be responsible for support to, coordination of, and management of operational activities within the areas of vehicles, personnel planning, and IT management. The section shall organize administrative support to the department head as well as the Transport Department's preparedness function. Job Description As a PA Specialist, you will have a development-oriented role where you work closely with operations, our personnel administrators, HR, and system management. You have a central function in identifying development needs, analyzing and monitoring quality, and contributing to the development of the Transport Department's personnel processes and working methods over time. An important part of the role is to be the link between operations and HR in matters concerning collective agreements and other contractual issues related to our international transports. You will also be involved in the continued development of the personnel system Heroma, where you, together with operations and other support functions, identify needs, test and follow up on changes, and contribute to the system supporting the department's working methods. Qualifications For the role of specialist, we are seeking someone who enjoys working with complex issues and has the ability to break down problems to solve complicated challenges. We are seeking someone who has: Post-secondary education in personnel administration or similar, or other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant Experience with process development work Several years of recent experience in personnel administration Very good computer skills Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It is also advantageous to have: Education in labor law Experience with personnel work within the public sector Experience working with government collective agreements Experience with the personnel system Heroma Very good knowledge of the Office package, particularly Excel Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
