The Eye Care Department provides acute and planned eye care with outpatient and surgical services as well as vision rehabilitation. At the eye clinic in Gävle, we are approximately 50 employees who together conduct both outpatient and surgical operations. We work in a well-equipped clinic with high patient volumes. The professions included in the team are physicians, eye nurses, nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. At the clinic you will work in a technical environment with a strong patient focus. That is why we are looking for you—a technology-interested optometrist who wants to complement our team. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS At the eye clinic, we have many varied work tasks that make the job both stimulating and developmental. As an optometrist, you work with, among other things, outpatient care with your own patients and preparing patients for various examinations and treatments. You meet patients ranging from visual field examinations and OCT to phone consultations and digital consultations via Min vård Gävleborg. With us you work daytime, Monday to Friday in a modern environment with advanced technology. As an optometrist you will work with • your own outpatient clinic with focus on glaucoma and ocular hypertension, but also other patient categories • spider clinic with glaucoma physician with your own assessment • handling bandage lenses and removal of cilia • preparing patients for doctor visits with, among other things, visual field examinations, applanation pressure, OCT, and biometry • preparing patients for the injection clinic for Anti-VEGF treatment • phone consultations and digital consultations via Mina vårdkontakter and Min vård Gävleborg.
