JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are now seeking an Operator, Back Pressure Power Plant for the Mechanical Pulp section at Skoghalls Bruk. The role as Operator consists primarily of process monitoring, which is performed mainly from the control room, but also includes rounds as part of daily work. You are responsible for quickly identifying any errors, correcting them, and performing preventive maintenance work. You are also expected to assist in improvement initiatives that are carried out.
Together with your colleagues, you have a responsibility for ensuring that production is carried out in an optimal way to achieve set targets. Furthermore, it is important that you have a strong safety mindset and that you actively promote safety for yourself and your colleagues. Your main work tasks include:
Monitoring from the control room.
Performing daily operational checks and rounds.
Handling any operational disturbances and deviations, and taking necessary measures.
Establishing and monitoring electricity forecasts.
Ordering supplies and ensuring that the operation has the right materials available.
Following up operational data and documenting events and actions.
Participating in improvement and safety work.
PERSONAL QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
We believe that you have post-secondary education with a focus on operations technology, process technology, mechanical engineering, or equivalent education. We would like you to have a few years of work experience from similar tasks and are accustomed to working in similar processes with a high safety focus. It is also a merit if you have experience with turbine and boiler processes, control and regulation technology, and operational monitoring systems.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest and the desire and curiosity to learn. To thrive in this role, it is important that you are a good team player who is flexible and appreciates the variation between analysis, monitoring, and practical work in the operation. As a person, you are driven, solution-oriented, and have the ability to work independently and take your own initiative when the situation requires it. Furthermore, you are thorough and safety-conscious. The role requires you to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as well as good IT skills.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The position as Operator, Back Pressure Power Plant involves shift work, and it is a requirement that you can work unconventional hours. The position is a direct recruitment where you will be employed by Stora Enso Skoghall.
