This is a consulting assignment covering a parental leave replacement starting October 1, 2026, with the opportunity to work in a role where you'll have significant responsibility for daily workflow while building valuable experience for the future.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
About the Assignment
As an operational procurement specialist, you'll work to ensure that materials and services are available when needed. You'll become an important link between suppliers, production, planning, and project operations.
The role initially focuses on operational and administrative procurement work and involves close collaboration with several parts of the organization. Over time, there's an opportunity to develop toward more strategic procurement tasks.
You will, among other things:
• Handle inquiries and incoming quotes
• Support supplier selection together with strategic procurement specialists
• Conduct purchases of materials and services
• Monitor deliveries and ensure materials reach production according to plan
• Handle supplier invoices
• Maintain article and supplier data in procurement systems
• Work closely with planning, production, and project organization
• Support operations with various operational procurement questions
To succeed in this role, you need to understand the connection between procurement, suppliers, and manufacturing flows. You enjoy having many points of contact and have the ability to create structure even when the pace is high.
Your Profile
We're Looking for You If You
• Have a few years of experience in operational procurement work
• Preferably have worked in manufacturing or mechanical industry
• Have relevant education in engineering, economics, logistics, or equivalent experience
• Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chains
• Are structured, independent, and solution-oriented
• Enjoy collaborating and building relationships both internally and externally
• Have good knowledge of business English
• Are experienced working with business and procurement systems as well as Microsoft Office
