About us: STT (Svenljunga & Tranemo Tidning) has a strong history and tradition in the municipalities of Svenljunga and Tranemo. The newspaper is distributed free to all households in the area and is among the free newspapers in Sweden with the best reach. The newspaper has a strong foundation and is appreciated by readers – but now we want to take the next step and become even better. About the role: As News Editor, you will have a central role in the newsroom. You combine leadership with working as a reporter with high productivity. You are involved in driving both the daily work and long-term development. You will: Work as a reporter and write articles yourself Coach, support, and develop the reporters in their work Drive the development of our journalism and content Lead the newsroom's planning and chair meetings Have oversight of the news landscape and the newsroom's work We are looking for someone who: Has several years of experience working at a local newspaper Is a sharp journalist with a strong news sense Has good knowledge of municipal coverage Is skilled at finding angles and clarifying what is important to readers Is a confident and communicative leader who can develop others Has an easy time collaborating and building trust We offer: A rewarding job at an engaged newsroom where you have significant influence over content and working methods – and where your journalism really makes a difference in people's daily lives.
