Now we're looking for another wonderful team member to support our primary client. We need you to bring strong commitment to working with people with disabilities and understanding from a family perspective. The client is a man who uses a wheelchair. He enjoys being outdoors in fresh air and doing standing/walking exercises. He has some communication ability, and if you're the right fit, you'll quickly develop a great rapport with him that brings joy to both of you. Experience with epilepsy and being a calm, grounded person is a significant advantage. The assistant team works 12-hour shifts between 8:00-20:00 or 20:00-08:00 on a fixed schedule. Active assistance is provided around the clock with two staff members present. It's flexible which days you work (if you have preferences) since the client and team are committed to finding the right person and can adjust the schedule. Since the client has a severe dog and cat allergy, it's important that you do not have a dog or cat. We especially welcome female applicants. Your Responsibilities Tasks typical to the profession. This can range from individualized personal care to household duties. Assistance is primarily provided in the client's home. You work in a supportive and motivating manner. Training is provided on-site and through Monument Assistans. We are currently seeking assistants for two different positions Position One: Three day shifts per week Position Two: Two night shifts per week Monument Assistans is the alternative for people with personal assistance needs seeking customized solutions.
