The State Employment Agency (hereinafter - the Agency) announces a competition for a vacant civil service position - Employment Agent at the Aizkraukles Client Service Center of the Jēkabpils Branch (1 position, 1 full-time, indefinite term) The purpose of the vacant position is to provide services to unemployed persons, job seekers, and persons at risk of unemployment on employment-related matters, assess a person's eligibility for unemployed or job seeker status, issue administrative acts, and determine a client's rights to receive agency services. Requirements for candidates: Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; Academic higher education or second-level professional higher education (preferably in social sciences); At least one year of experience in client consulting; At least one year of work experience in business communication and correspondence; Understanding of state employment policy and knowledge of applicable regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competence; Ability to evaluate facts, anticipate, and assess risks; Excellent communication skills; Good planning and self-control skills; Understanding of personnel selection processes; Client-oriented approach; Education acquired in the state language or state language proficiency corresponding to level C, 1st degree; Knowledge of one foreign language at conversational level – for serving third-country clients; Very good computer skills (MS Word, Excel) and office equipment operation; An e-signature tool is required to perform the duties of the position. Main duties of the position: Conduct individual work with clients – identify suitable employment for the client, offer appropriate open vacancies, determine measures to facilitate the client's return to the labor market; Evaluate received information and submitted documents for compliance with requirements set forth in regulatory acts; Make decisions on granting unemployed, job seeker status and register persons at risk of unemployment, monitor the client's compliance with the assigned status; Cooperate with other state and municipal institutions to receive information that may serve as grounds for loss of unemployed/job seeker status; Monitor compliance with job search obligations. The selection competition will take place in three rounds: First round - evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second round – practical work, based on the results of which the candidate's professional knowledge will be assessed. Third round - interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be assessed according to the requirements set for the position. Candidates who score the highest points in the practical tasks will be invited to the interview. The Agency asks candidates, when applying for participation in the selection competition, not to provide additional data, including special category personal data that is not necessary to evaluate the candidate's compliance with the specific vacancy.
