Your Role We are now seeking two network developers with different areas of expertise – one focused on power grids and electrical power and one focused on data analysis and decision support. What's common to both roles is that you'll work to understand future needs, analyze complex issues, and translate your conclusions into concrete solutions. You'll have an important role in developing materials that support strategic decisions and the long-term development of the power grid. You'll work closely with colleagues in areas such as network planning, network analysis, network development, and business development. Together you'll translate the organization's needs and changes in the external environment into sustainable and cost-effective solutions. The power grid of the future requires both cutting-edge technical expertise and data-driven approaches. That's why we're looking for someone who either wants to contribute with expertise in power grids and electrical power or with the ability to use data and analysis to create decision support materials and develop the business. Focus Area 1 – Power Grid and Electrical Power In this role, you'll work analyzing, planning, and developing the power grid based on future needs. You thrive with technical challenges and want to help find solutions to the obstacles that come with electrification and a changing energy system. You might, for example, have experience with: network planning and network design power and capacity analysis electrical power technology network calculations flexibility solutions connection issues and network development plans Focus Area 2 – Data Analysis and Decision Support In this role, you'll use data and analysis to create insights and decision support materials for the long-term development of the power grid business. You enjoy handling large amounts of data, identifying patterns, and translating analysis into concrete recommendations. You might, for example, have experience with: data management and data quality data processing, analysis, and forecasting Power BI, Excel, or similar analysis tools basic programming and automation data analysis and visualization economic analysis revenue regulation or business models For this focus area, knowledge of power grid operations is a merit, but not a requirement. What We're Looking For We believe you have an academic degree in, for example, electrical power, energy, industrial economics, engineering physics, computer science, or another relevant field. Regardless of focus area, you're analytical, curious, and driven. You enjoy diving into complex issues and have the ability to see both the big picture and the details. You thrive collaborating with others and can translate analysis and insights into practical solutions that create value for the business and our customers. It's also important that you want to develop together with the organization and contribute fresh perspectives to an industry facing major transformations. Who We Are, Your Colleagues The Network Development department consists of 15 specialists in power grids, analysis, network development, and business matters. The network developer position belongs to the Development unit, which works closely with the Network Planning & Analysis unit. Together we operate at the intersection of technology, economics, and strategy to develop the power grid business of the future. The department is responsible for the company's investment budget so that we meet customers' needs for grid capacity.
