Specialist Psychiatry in Kronoberg provides modern and specialized psychiatric care in collaboration with family members and other healthcare providers. The operations are organized into specialized units where employees work within integrated teams, outpatient care, and 24-hour care that follow the patient throughout the entire care pathway.
As a night shift nurse, you will be part of the staffing unit of Specialist Psychiatry and will work at the Specialist Psychiatry departments and the acute psychiatric clinic. If desired, there is an opportunity to rotate between day and night shifts.
We offer training and lectures in TERMA (therapeutic approach to aggression), MI (motivational interviewing), proACT (acute medical training), continuous lectures in relevant areas, and opportunities for specialist education in psychiatry. If you have at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience, you will have the opportunity to apply for paid further education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatric care.

JOB DUTIES
As a psychiatric nurse/nurse, you will work from a holistic perspective with both psychiatric and general medical care during the night. You are responsible for coordinating patient flow and you lead nursing care work. As a nurse, you have close contact with physicians, and part of the work at the acute psychiatric clinic involves collaboration with ambulance services, police, and social authorities. On the departments, you as a nurse take the role of team leader and oversee nursing care work. Our night shift nurses work on all departments within 24-hour care at Specialist Psychiatry, which provides the benefit of meeting different patient groups at various stages of the care process.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse. It is a merit if you have specialist education in psychiatric care, or alternatively experience working in psychiatric care.
You are skilled at working according to clear processes, you organize and plan your work well, and you complete what you start. It is important that you have stability in your work and can handle stress constructively while maintaining a good attitude in pressured situations. Collaborating and building good relationships with both colleagues and external partners is an important part of the work. We view it as positive if you have a solution-focused mindset where you have the ability to quickly find solutions to problems that arise.
