JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to make a real difference when your expertise is needed most?
As a registered nurse in Gävle kommun's health and medical care, you play an important role in creating security and safe care during all the hours of the night. You meet people when the need for care and professional assessments is greatest and make a difference in every shift.
You work night shifts together with a fellow registered nurse and are responsible for health and medical care services for patients in the municipality's care and residential facilities, home health care, LSS, and social psychiatry. The role is independent, varied, and requires you to be able to prioritize and make decisions in different situations.
Your tasks include:
• performing planned health and medical care services
• conducting medical assessments on-site and by phone
• providing qualified advice to patients, family members, and care personnel
• prioritizing and managing acute and changing care needs
• documenting and following up on services according to applicable guidelines
You work with a focus on the patient's health, safety, and well-being and always maintain a holistic perspective in your work. At the same time, you work closely with colleagues in health care and nursing.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
• is a licensed registered nurse
• is confident working independently and making decisions, especially during night hours
• holds a class B driver's license and has good driving experience
• communicates fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing
• has good computer skills and experience with documentation
It is an asset if you have:
• specialist training as a district nurse or in geriatrics
• experience from municipal health and medical care
• experience with record systems and business systems such as Treserva, TES, Lifecare, Pascal, or NPÖ.

Other Information
Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis during the application period.
As a final candidate, you will need to provide a police background check for work in homes with elderly people and people with disabilities. The background check should not be attached to your application.
