Job Duties: • Reading and using technical documentation. • Determining work procedures, resources, and methods. • Establishing cutting parameters and assembling tools and materials for the work process. • Preparing the work process, adjusting machine functions, clamping and aligning workpieces and tools. • Adjusting milling machines and production processes to required tolerances. • Monitoring the use of cutting tools and adjusting and operating machines using appropriate controls. • Reading data from various measuring and testing equipment to verify correct work progress during production. • Testing finished products using various measuring and testing equipment. • Maintaining and servicing relevant equipment, machines, and tools, and performing simple repairs. • Recording technical data on work progress and results. • Marking workpieces using measuring instruments and scribing tools. • Manual material processing including sawing, cutting, shearing, straightening, bending, trimming, drilling, reaming, hand grinding, and scraping. We require secondary education or a vocational certificate in metal machining, tool & die making, or industrial locksmithing.
