Näsets Pastorat comprises the congregations of Höllviken and Skanör-Falsterbo. We have six churches and seven cemeteries in beautiful settings. We are currently seeking:
Vicar for Näsets Pastorat
Who are you?
We are looking for someone who wants to lead and be part of a pastorat with a rich and varied church life. You are attentive and can recognize others' gifts while bringing your own drive and enthusiasm. You can structure, motivate, and delegate, and you practice trust-based leadership built on clarity and encouragement. You are activity-oriented and see richness in the fact that activities, employees, volunteers, and elected representatives are not always streamlined. You are not afraid to handle conflicts when the situation requires it.
You want to develop the pastorat for the benefit and joy of our congregation members, working together with employees, elected representatives, and volunteers. You can ask for help when needed. A sense of humor and self-distance are good foundations for well-being.
You have documented leadership experience in previous or current work. You are a leader but also a congregational priest with theological grounding. You represent the Church of Sweden with joy and pride and help the pastorat be a welcoming and open community. You want to make Jesus known and loved.
About Näsets Pastorat
Näsets Pastorat geographically encompasses Falsterbonäset – from Håslöv in the east to Falsterbo in the west. It is a reasonably sized pastorat – large enough to have a range of employees in the work team, yet small enough for you as vicar to get to know people and be part of the whole pastorat's community. The pastorat consists of Höllviken Congregation and Skanör-Falsterbo Congregation, plus shared functions for administration/finance, cemeteries, and property management. The total number of employees is approximately 44. The pastorat has six churches, seven cemeteries, and four parish halls. The number of members is approximately 15,000.
Formalities – how to apply for the vicar position at Näsets Pastorat
Complete applications must be received by Näsets Pastorat no later than October 1 and must include:
Personal letter

Salary requirements
References with names and contact information
Certified clergy letters, certificate of theological degree (all pages of the degree certificate), certificate from the Church of Sweden's Institute for Education/equivalent for the qualifying vicar training
Other Requirements
Access to a car and a valid driver's license

Important Dates
Complete application materials must be received by Näsets Pastorat no later than October 1.
Interview with the Cathedral Chapter of Lund Diocese takes place on October 26. In accordance with Church Ordinance 34 ch. 9 §, the Cathedral Chapter shall assess the qualifications of applicants for a vicar position and comment on the qualified applicants based on the special requirements of the position.
Interviews at Näsets Pastorat take place on November 19 and 20.
Planned employment agreement date November 30 or by agreement.
Planned start date for the position at Näsets Pastorat on March 1, 2027. One month of introduction together with the departing vicar.
Planned start date as new vicar on April 1, 2027.
