About us
The Language and Reception Unit provides native language instruction and study guidance in approximately 46 languages to both municipal and independent schools in Upplands Väsby Municipality.
The Language and Reception Unit also organizes the reception of newly arrived students from six years of age through upper secondary school age.

About the position
As a native language teacher, you are responsible for native language instruction and study guidance in the municipality's schools. Teaching also includes assessment and grading based on the curriculum in the subject of native language in Tagalog. Study guidance consists of helping and supporting students in their language and knowledge development in close collaboration with their other subject teachers and mentors in the schools, as well as through communication and cooperation with guardians.
We expect you to meet students based on their individual needs and conditions, have a holistic view of students' learning, and show curiosity in using language-development teaching methods.
The position is ambulatory, which means you commute and travel between different schools in Upplands Väsby Municipality.
The position is part-time at 30 percent and time-limited until 2027-06-15 with the possibility of extension.
Are you the person we are looking for?
We are seeking someone who has:
Tagalog as your native language
Qualification as a native language teacher in Tagalog
Several years of experience in native language instruction and study guidance
Good knowledge of the Swedish language
It is meritorious if you have:
Special qualification to teach the subject of native language or if you have teacher certification in languages
Previous experience in native language instruction and study guidance
As a person, you find it easy to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You thrive in work where collaboration is crucial for results, and with us you will be part of a large work group. You also need to be organized in planning your work according to existing guidelines, but flexible enough to adapt when needed.
