About the Role We are now seeking an Embedded Developer with a focus on the vehicle and defense sectors within model-based development. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions in technically advanced and safety-critical projects, with particular emphasis on model-based approaches and code generation. In this role, you will work through the entire development chain – from modeling and simulation to implementation and verification in the target environment. You will contribute your technical expertise in both classical embedded development and model-based design, for example using Simulink. As part of AFRY's team, you will work on innovative projects, both in our internal product development and with customers in the defense sector. You will, among other things: Work with model-based development in e.g. Simulink/Matlab Develop, generate and optimize code for embedded systems, primarily in C/C++ Participate in the entire development process – from requirements analysis and modeling to implementation, testing and verification Work with simulation, model validation and automated testing Collaborate in agile, cross-functional teams with both software and hardware engineers Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in embedded development and a strong interest in model-based development and safety-critical systems. You are confident in your technical competence and comfortable in complex environments where quality and structure are crucial. We would like to see that you have: At least 3 years of experience developing embedded systems Good experience with C and/or C++ Experience with model-based development, for example in Simulink/Matlab Experience with code generation from models and work with model validation Understanding of system design and requirements management in safety-critical systems Experience in Python is a merit You are an unpretentious and collaboration-oriented person who enjoys sharing your knowledge while being curious to continue developing by learning from others. You thrive in the consulting role and are motivated by contributing technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills in complex and safety-critical environments. For this position, it is a requirement that you master both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish customers. Some assignments may also be security classified, which means you will be subject to security vetting under the Security Protection Act.
