Master Builder / Site Supervisor – Fiber Optic Network Installation (Part-time), Teplice and Ústí nad Labem region We have been building fiber optic networks in northern Bohemia since 2013 and are looking for someone who can manage construction sites and lead people. You don't need to be from our field – we'll teach you cable laying. We need someone with years of on-site construction experience, who can organize a workday, and when a subcontractor falls through in the morning, doesn't stop the project but quickly reorganizes work. What you will do: - manage excavation work and cable laying (primarily fiber optic) on job sites in Teplice and Ústí nad Labem districts; - organize daily work for your own crews and subcontractors, quickly replan work if a subcontractor falls through to keep the site moving; - maintain construction logs and photo documentation, monitor schedules, quality, and work safety – all electronically in our internal system, no paperwork; - arrange traffic signage for excavations, site closures and access permits for roads, coordinate with municipalities, authorities, and utility operators regarding permits; - communicate with the investor and technical supervisor. What we need from you: - several years of experience managing construction sites or work crews (master builder, site supervisor, crew leader) – construction field doesn't matter; - experience with earthwork or engineering projects is a major plus (traffic signage for excavations, site closures, permitting with municipalities and authorities); - reliability, punctuality, independence – ability to manage people and respond quickly to changes; - Group B driver's license – required (daily travel between job sites); - basic computer and phone skills – we conduct reporting and documentation electronically; - ČKAIT certification welcome, not required – we have professional site management covered. What we offer: - part-time employment, approximately 100–130 hours per month; - 350–450 Kč/hour gross depending on experience (approximately 35,000 – 58,500 Kč per month based on hours worked); - to be clear: during season (spring through fall) we run at full capacity and may work weekends depending on weather; in winter (December–February) there's downtime – paperwork and site preparation; - company phone and laptop; company vehicle possible by arrangement; - base of operations always at the current job site (rented storage facilities in the region) – no commuting to a distant headquarters; - suitable for experienced professionals who no longer want full-time work, including active retirees; - start immediately or by arrangement.
