Within the Environment business area, AFRY offers qualified consulting services for contaminated sites and environmental & sustainability matters. In Karlskrona, AFRY currently has consultants in a section that works with permit applications and approvals, water and air assessments, environmental impact assessments, environmental investigations, environmental soil investigations, environmental audits, risk assessments, sustainability, audit, and quality management. Our clients are found in both the private and municipal and state sectors. As an environmental consultant at AFRY, your assignments can vary and range from wind power, solar power, industries, and various water activities to infrastructure projects involving railways and roads, as well as environmental assessments in planning matters. You will have the opportunity to participate in various assignments locally, regionally, and nationally. We give you significant responsibility and you are welcome to take on the project manager role, maintain customer contacts, and if interested, also work on international assignments. If you have specialized expertise, there is an opportunity to participate in developing our service offerings. Together with other consultants at AFRY, you are part of a comprehensive solution and you will have the opportunity to develop understanding of different aspects of a project. Qualifications To succeed and thrive in your role as an environmental consultant, we are looking for someone who has: a university degree or master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainable development, or similar, at least three years of professional experience in the environmental field, good knowledge of permit processes, very good ability to present investigations and results in writing and orally, an analytical and strategic mindset with a good ability to see opportunities and solutions that add value to our customers, good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, Class B driver's license It is a merit, but not a requirement, if you have a few years of experience: working as a project manager or assignment manager, working as an environmental consultant, environmental manager at a company, or at a government agency, working with clients and other stakeholders to discuss and present assignments and provide recommendations.
