About the Business
The Environment and Sustainability Unit is part of the Regional Development administration, which together with Healthcare forms the region's two core operations. The unit supports and develops Region Västernorrland's work in environment and sustainability, and also works with these issues in connection with regional development and external collaboration. We work both strategically and operationally with issues such as climate, resource use, chemicals, waste, sustainable procurement, and environmental management. The unit also houses the Energy Office of Västernorrland and the Patient Transportation Office. Region Västernorrland is environmentally certified according to ISO 14001, and the unit plays a central role in developing and monitoring environmental work. We work with environmental targets and follow-up, environmental audits, training, and development of working methods. The work ranges from overall governance and analysis to concrete issues that arise in healthcare and the region's other operations. Do you want to drive both environmental work and operational development? We are seeking an environmental controller with a focus on monitoring and reporting of environmental data. You will also work with monitoring environmental legislation and supporting operations with new requirements. The work tasks vary between long-term strategic work and day-to-day operations. The goal is for Region Västernorrland to work resource-efficiently and contribute to sustainable development. The position is a permanent employment with start date as soon as possible by agreement.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop the collection of environmental data
Conduct climate calculations
Analysis, monitoring, and reporting of targets and indicators
Develop the environmental management system
Environmental audits, conduct internal audits and participate in external audits
Support the organization in planning and implementing environmental improvement measures based on strategies and plans
Participate in relevant networks
QualificationsWe are looking for someone whoHas an academic education in environment
Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
Has good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience in structuring, processing, and analyzing data
It is a merit if youHave training in environmental management
Have training in environmental legislation
Have experience working with environmental management including development, planning, and follow-up
Have experience working with environment in a politically governed organization
Have experience with environmental audits
Have experience working with business intelligence tools such as Power-BI or similar
