About the Workplace The Building and Environment Administration consists of 17 employees and is responsible for activities within building permits, environment and health protection, and housing adaptation. Within the administration is the environment department, which is responsible for inspection, permit review, and authority functions under the Environmental Code, food legislation, and alcohol legislation. The department's activities include, among other things, food inspection, alcohol supervision, environmental protection, health protection, and individual wastewater systems. The work team consists of nine environment and health protection inspectors, one administrator, and one environment manager. We are a committed work group that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional conduct in our interactions with citizens and business operators. We are in a phase where we need to replace staff within individual wastewater systems and develop our expertise in this area. We are therefore looking for you to contribute with both experience and commitment to our continued development work. Your Work Tasks We are now seeking an employee to work with inspection and management of individual wastewater systems, with the possibility for the right applicant to also work in other supervision areas. We face long-term competency needs in this area and would therefore appreciate it if you have an interest in sharing your knowledge. An important part of the role is to contribute to competency development within the work group through mentoring, experience sharing, and development of work methods. As an environment inspector, you will have a central role in the municipality's supervision work. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on supervision efforts and managing cases, writing decisions and investigations, as well as responding to referrals. You have ongoing contact with business operators and residents and provide professional advice and guidance. The role involves a high degree of independence and requires that you feel confident in authority functions and decision-making. At the same time, we place great emphasis on collaboration and knowledge sharing within the work group. We would therefore appreciate it if you contribute your experience and have an interest in supporting and developing colleagues within the operation. Work is conducted both in the office and in the field. Through delegation from the board, you make independent decisions in several areas. We work in the case management system Ecos2 and continuously develop our work methods in the system. All employees have an important role in this work and contribute to developing digital and efficient work processes. We are therefore looking for someone who is driven, organized, and curious about developing new work methods. In Håbo Municipality, the office is the main workplace, but with agreement with your immediate supervisor, there is the possibility to work up to two days per week remotely. Qualifications We are looking for you who have: relevant higher education in, for example, environment, natural science, civil engineering, or another area that the employer deems equivalent at least 3 years of experience working with individual wastewater systems good knowledge of the Environmental Code and the Administrative Procedure Act good knowledge of the legal prerequisites for authority functions experience independently managing and being responsible for cases the ability to quickly grasp new work tasks and complex issues Class B driver's license It is advantageous if you have: experience mentoring colleagues or otherwise contributing to competency development in a work group experience developing work methods, routines, or processes experience with knowledge sharing and experience exchange within a work group experience working in Ecos2 We Are Looking for You Who Want to work with supervision and appreciate the mix of administrative work and inspection among businesses.
