We are seeking a dental assistant for the Pediatric Dentistry Unit with placement at Specialist Dental Care Halland Hospital in Halmstad and Varberg. The clinic has a long tradition of education, research and development. The clinic has approximately 95 employees in total. All dental specialties are represented within the organization. The pediatric dentistry unit has four pediatric dentists. The activities are based at Halland Hospital in Halmstad and Varberg. We treat patients referred to us from other departments within the hospital as well as from private and public healthcare providers. About the Position As a dental assistant, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge within pediatric dentistry in an environment with high expertise and close teamwork. The position involves clinical work with a focus on assessment, treatment planning and care of children and adolescents with extensive healthcare needs. You will work under the guidance of experienced pediatric dentists. Treatment under anesthesia is included in the role. The position is intended to be combinable with continued general dentistry practice. Examples of Work Tasks In consultation with a pediatric dentist, treat children and adolescents with severe treatment problems, functional limitations, and acute and chronic diseases with oral manifestations. Treat children and adolescents under general anesthesia, and participate in planning for these treatments. About the Workplace Specialist Dental Care conducts specialist education and continuing education for dentists as well as education for dental hygienists and dental nurses. Research and development are important parts of the organization. As a dental assistant, you will have the opportunity to participate in the clinic's educational environment. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed dentist with at least 2 years of experience in general dentistry have an interest in and experience working with children and adolescents enjoy working in a team and have a professional and respectful approach to patients and colleagues are flexible, solution-oriented and motivated by development and improvement work.
