Västmanlands Fastighetsskötsel AB is now seeking a mechanic who wants to take full responsibility for servicing, maintaining, and repairing our fleet of equipment.
We have broad operations in property maintenance, grounds care, and winter road maintenance. This means our fleet is both large and varied – and no two days need to be the same.
About the Role
As a mechanic with us, you will work on:
Servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing wheel loaders and tractors
Maintenance and repair of lawn mowers and other smaller equipment
Servicing and repair of implements and accessories
Hydraulics, mechanics, and basic electrical/troubleshooting
Preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Emergency repairs when problems occur in the field
Planning and monitoring service intervals
Coordinating with workshops and suppliers when external repairs are needed
You'll work with everything from small tools and equipment to larger tractors and wheel loaders. This role is perfect if you appreciate variety and problem-solving rather than working with the same type of machine every day.
Who Are We Looking For?
We believe you have experience working as, for example, a mechanic, construction machinery mechanic, agricultural machinery mechanic, or similar.
We'd like it if you:
Have good knowledge of mechanics
Have experience with hydraulics and preferably vehicle/machine electronics
Are comfortable troubleshooting and finding solutions independently
Are hands-on and enjoy solving problems
Can plan your own work and take responsibility for equipment condition
Have a B-class driver's license
Experience with wheel loaders, tractors, construction equipment, and grounds care machinery is a plus.
We place great emphasis on practical experience and the right attitude. You don't need to know everything on day one – what matters most is that you have strong technical interest, are solution-oriented, and want to develop with us.
