Mechanic at Ahlstrom Sweden AB, Jönköping Do you want to help secure production for the future? At Ahlstrom in Jönköping, we manufacture specialty paper for customers around the world. We are now looking for a mechanic who wants to be part of our maintenance team and contribute to safe, stable, and efficient production. You will be an important part of developing and maintaining our facility while contributing to the factory's long-term competitiveness. Your Assignment As a mechanic, you will work with both preventive and corrective maintenance in our production facility. You will help ensure high availability of machines and equipment while participating in improvement work and technical development. Main Responsibilities Troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment Preventive maintenance according to planned maintenance programs Participate in planned maintenance shutdowns and improvement projects Work in the maintenance system MaintMaster New construction and modification of mechanical systems Contribute to root cause analyses and improvement work Promote a safe work environment through active safety efforts Participate in on-call duty according to schedule The role covers work within production, converting, water treatment, and other parts of the facility. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and who enjoys solving problems together with others. We believe you have: High school education with a technical or mechanical focus or equivalent experience Experience with mechanical maintenance in industry or a workshop Good ability to troubleshoot and analyze technical problems Experience in welding and mechanical assembly is a plus Good computer skills Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. If you also have English, that's an advantage.
