Finishing Maintenance is seeking two day-shift mechanics As a mechanic with us, you will work both independently and in close collaboration with other maintenance and operations personnel in the finishing department. When needed, you will also serve as an additional resource for other areas of the operation. In the role as a day-shift mechanic, the focus is primarily on preventive and planned maintenance, but emergency work may also occur. You participate in our 5S initiatives and daily management while contributing to developing routines and working methods to continuously improve operations and increase operational reliability. We are looking for someone with several years of experience in mechanical maintenance work within the manufacturing industry, preferably from the steel industry. Desirable skills: Mechanical maintenance of machinery Hydraulics and pneumatics Welding (arc welding, MIG/MAG) Machine processing (turning and milling) Pumps Blueprint reading The position requires a valid class B driver's license. Forklift and overhead crane certifications as well as Hot Work certification are advantageous. To thrive in the role, you are responsible, thorough, and take initiative. You work well with others and are comfortable in contact with people. Reporting is done in our maintenance system and to the maintenance manager.
