We are now seeking a Medical Director for Rehabilitation (MAR). The role reports directly to the Social Services Director and you will work closely with the municipality's Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS), department heads, and other key functions within municipal healthcare and elderly care services. Job Responsibilities The position is expected to include work with other county municipalities within the framework of municipal cooperation agreements. This means you will have the opportunity to work strategically across municipal boundaries and contribute to development, quality, and patient safety within the rehabilitation field. During periods when the position's scope is not filled by municipal cooperation agreements, the assignment will be complemented with related work tasks within operations development, quality, and follow-up. As MAR, you have a central role in the municipality's work with quality and patient safety within rehabilitation. You work independently within your area of responsibility, while a large part of the assignment is based on close collaboration with MAS, heads, and staff in the operations. Your tasks include, among other things: - Follow up and develop quality within municipal rehabilitation - Contribute to systematic patient safety and quality work - Work with follow-up, internal control, and analysis - Follow up and analyze deviations and identify improvement needs - Develop and follow up routines, work methods, and processes within the rehabilitation field - Provide support to heads and operations on matters related to rehabilitation and quality - Collaborate closely with the Medical Responsible Nurse - Contribute to overall operations development within healthcare and elderly care - Through municipal cooperation agreements, perform the MAR assignment for other municipalities The role involves both a strategic perspective and close connection to practical operations. You are expected to identify development needs, convert these into concrete improvements, and follow up to ensure that changes have the intended effect. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist and who wants to take on a strategic and comprehensive responsibility for quality, development, and patient safety within municipal healthcare and elderly care services. Requirements - Licensed occupational therapist or physiotherapist - Due to the role's high demands on communication and documentation, very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is required - Category B driver's license It is advantageous if you have: - Experience working within municipal healthcare and elderly care - Experience with quality and development work - Experience with internal control and systematic follow-up - Experience working with deviations, analysis, and improvement measures - Experience working in a consultative or supportive capacity with heads and operations Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you need to be organized and independent. You need to be able to see both details and the bigger picture, analyze complex issues, and in a clear manner translate regulations, follow-up, and the organization's needs into practical development work. Since the role involves many contact points, you also need to be communicative and have an aptitude for building good collaborations. You are confident in your profession and comfortable both supporting and challenging the organization when needed.
