As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at MAX, you're a key person in the business. You ensure that restaurant operations run smoothly, secure good results and a healthy work environment, and make sure our guests receive world-class service. You're a role model in your leadership and naturally lead the way for your colleagues when the pace is high. You also ensure that all team members understand what's expected in service delivery.
The role includes completing our leadership program MAX Leadership Academy, a solid introduction to MAX operations covering both practical and theoretical training. There are also excellent internal development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Restaurant Manager with recruitment, training, and development of staff.
Be well-versed in staffing status, scheduling, budgeting, operational responsibility, and workplace environment matters.
Drive food safety initiatives and implement measures according to central guidelines.
Set, execute, and follow up on ambitious goals together with the Restaurant Manager. Set budgets and forecasts for sales and worked hours.
Monitor and control inventory, stock, purchasing, handling, and waste on a daily basis.
Plan, design, and execute tasks to reach goals and align with strategies and guidelines in a productive and efficient manner.
Coach, motivate, and develop your team members to create a winning team that exceeds guest expectations.

Full personnel and workplace environment responsibility.
Responsibility for the restaurant reaching its forecasts and staying within budget.
Authority to recruit within existing budget.
You live and work within one hour's travel from the restaurant so you understand the local area and can quickly be on-site if needed.
