In the role of Materials Planner, you will be an important part of the supply chain and contribute to ensuring that production has the right conditions to meet both customer requirements and business goals. You work in a complex and dynamic environment where collaboration, analysis, and forward planning are crucial for success.
About the role
As a Materials Planner, you are responsible for ensuring that the right material is in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity. You serve as a central link between production, procurement, warehouse, development, and external suppliers.
The role includes both operational and strategic tasks where you actively work to ensure stable material supply and high delivery precision throughout the value chain.
Your main responsibilities
Plan and follow up on material supply based on production plans, forecasts, and customer needs.
Ensure material availability for production and delivery.
Monitor and follow up on deliveries from suppliers and handle deviations.
Optimize inventory levels and balance availability against capital commitment.
Collaborate closely with production, procurement, logistics, warehouse, and product development.
Analyze material flows and identify improvement opportunities.
Participate in work with forecasting, capacity planning, and risk management in the supply chain.
Contribute to development and streamlining of processes within materials planning and supply chain.
We are looking for you
Have experience in materials planning, production planning, supply chain, or similar area.
Have a good understanding of manufacturing processes and material flows.
Are experienced in working with ERP systems, such as SAP, IFS, or similar business systems.
Have good analytical skills and enjoy working data-driven.
Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
Have post-secondary education in logistics, procurement, industrial economics, or equivalent experience.
