About the Role
You'll join a dynamic department of approximately 30 materials and chemical engineers in a modern laboratory environment. This hands-on role involves independently conducting metallographic examinations of components manufactured using additive manufacturing. You'll be a key part of the team's materials engineering expertise and work closely with experienced colleagues in materials and chemistry. You'll use advanced equipment such as light optical microscopes and scanning electron microscopes for analysis.
Your work will include damage investigations, quality assurance for both internal production and suppliers, and documentation in technical reports. The pace can be fast, and assignments vary from planned inspections to urgent investigations when something fails. Your contribution is critical in ensuring the highest quality of components used in demanding industrial environments.
We're looking for someone with:
• Higher education or engineering degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering, chemistry with materials focus, or equivalent
• At least 4 years of experience in materials engineering work
• Good understanding of structural materials and material properties
• Swedish and English fluency, spoken and written
It's a plus if you have:
• Previous experience from manufacturing industry
