announces a vacancy: NURSE (general care nurse) (profession code 2221 46)
Requirements for candidates:
• Professional secondary education or first-level professional higher education in health care or nursing, medical nurse qualification;
• Registration in the Register of Medical Professionals and Medical Support Persons of the Republic of Latvia;
• Certificate in medical nursing specialty;
• State language proficiency in accordance with the requirements of the State Language Law;
• Periodic knowledge updates through courses and seminars in areas necessary for the profession;
• Knowledge of the operating principles of technical equipment required for work and rules for their use;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, client-oriented work and focus on positive work outcomes.
Main job duties:
• Participate in the work of an interdisciplinary team implementing the client's social rehabilitation process, maintaining, improving and acquiring client skills and competencies;
• Ensure high-quality monitoring of client health status, provide first aid and emergency medical assistance;
• Provide care to client and ensure client monitoring;
• Assess client's self-care and independence abilities, client's response reactions to existing or potential health disorders;
• Document client assessment data, identified care problems, planned care activities;
• Perform with quality and precision the prescriptions and instructions prescribed by a family doctor, psychiatrist and other specialists;
• Ensure accurate and safe medication dispensing to clients, receipt, storage and use of dressing materials in accordance with regulatory requirements;
• Conduct education for clients and their relatives on health promotion and health care issues.
