Male Companion in Täby

We now have an assignment in Täby where we are looking for a male, competent and experienced companion for a case of 5 hours / week divided into two occasions. It concerns a cheerful and pleasant man with Parkinson's disease with accompanying dementia, PEG, and ileostomy who wants to engage in various social leisure activities such as walks. The companion needs to have experience / knowledge of Parkinson's disease as well as ileostomy, as the assignment requires you to be able to support the client with managing emptying when needed. The home care service manages the PEG pump; as a companion you should only support the client by checking that it is in place and if necessary contact a nurse if it has come loose, for example. You should also contact a nurse if anything unexpected occurs with the stoma bag. Tasks: As a companion with us, you provide care and social support based on the client's individual needs and wishes. Together with other staff, you work to make the client's life meaningful and enriching. As a companion, you accompany the client on various activities. Days and times are varying but often scheduled for late afternoons / evenings and weekends. Qualifications: We want you to have experience with disabilities. You have a positive attitude and a flexible, creative mindset with an ability to see possibilities. You see it as your obvious responsibility to contribute to a positive work environment. You also have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing. Livis Omsorg is a family-owned company that works with services within social care.
