We are now looking for a meal assistant at Säby Preschool. The preschool consists of four departments with approximately 80 children and 13 educators. As a meal assistant, you have a central function in the preschool's operations. You are responsible for ensuring that meals and snacks are of high quality and that the kitchen meets applicable requirements for hygiene, food handling and self-inspection. You work independently but are also an important part of the preschool's collective work. Your work tasks consist of: Receiving, preparing and serving meals in the reception kitchen. Planning and preparing simple breakfasts and snacks, as well as contributing your own ideas that promote food enjoyment and variety. Working according to applicable food safety, self-inspection and hygiene procedures. Responsible for documenting self-inspections. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the kitchen according to established procedures. Processing orders and purchases within given budgets. Collaborating with educators, suppliers and other internal and external partners. Contributing to creating a positive meal environment for children and adults. Your Profile We are looking for a dedicated meal assistant for our reception kitchen. With us, meals are an important part of education and care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with: Experience working in a kitchen, preferably in preschool or other public operations. Knowledge of food handling and self-inspection. Completed HACCP training or equivalent knowledge. Experience with orders and procurement. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills as documentation and orders are done digitally.
