Luleå Diocese is strengthening the unit for parish life and is now seeking an Ecumenism and Mission Officer. The Officer will work long-term and strategically to promote vibrant parish life throughout Luleå Diocese. The work takes place in collaboration with other officers in the diocesan organization, parishes in Luleå Diocese, other dioceses, Act Svenska kyrkan, and the unit for church life at the national level.
Key Responsibilities
As an Ecumenism and Mission Officer, you will, for example:
- manage international matters including Act Svenska kyrkan, Youth in the Global Church, International Conference, and other events,
- serve as the responsible officer for the Global Council in Luleå Diocese,
- oversee initiatives related to adult pathways to faith,
- be Luleå Diocese's contact person in the Nordkalotten Church Network,
- work with the Bishop's Adjunct to develop Luleå Diocese's sister church partnerships,
- maintain contact with the SKUT Council in Luleå Diocese
About You
You have a passion for people coming to faith and growing in faith, and you long for God's kingdom to expand and creation to be restored.
We would appreciate if you have higher education in theology, pedagogy, social work, behavioral science, or equivalent. You have experience in parish work within Svenska kyrkan and experience with ecumenism and international engagement. You express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish, have a driver's license, and possess basic IT skills.

You are a confident and stable person with good self-awareness, a strategic approach, and the ability to see the bigger picture. You collaborate well with others and want to contribute to a strong community. It is important that you take responsibility for driving work forward and work independently. The role also involves building trusting relationships and working in a structured manner.
