Basic Officer School The Basic Officer School (BBS) is the Air Force's competence developer for personnel, particularly officers and managers in leading positions within the air base system. BBS also oversees functional and specialized training for personnel within the Air Force's air base units and at military airfields. BBS conducts personnel and competence follow-up within the air base system and participates in the development of air operations. BBS is primarily located in Uppsala and Halmstad. The BBS leadership is located in Uppsala. The Airfield Operations Department (Skyffarb) is located at Halmstad garrison and is organizationally subordinate to the Air Force School (LSS). The instructor position is placed in the Skyffarb Department, which is part of BBS and located at Halmstad garrison's flotilla area. Main Responsibilities At the Skyffarb Department in Halmstad, specialist officers, airfield operations leaders, and military mission commanders are trained in airfield rescue services, among others. The position involves participating in the training of future specialist officers at the department, where you will plan and conduct course activities under the guidance of the chief instructor. You will also support other parts of the department as an instructor with professional and occupational courses within the functional area (rescue, airfield operations, field operations, aircraft maintenance, and CBRN). The position involves both administrative and practical work, where you have good opportunities to influence your work situation. Qualifications Approved specialist officer degree Class B driver's license Personal Qualities You have a strong ability to work independently and take significant responsibility while also being part of a team, and you have a good ability to independently plan and manage operations. You also have good problem-solving skills and flexibility, as well as a strong willingness to collaborate and good social skills. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
