Department Description Our payroll office is a dedicated team of five employees: a manager, three payroll specialists, and a payroll administrator. Together we manage approximately 1,500 salaries and work closely with the business to ensure our employees receive the correct pay on time.
The team is located at both our offices in Hällefors and Grängesberg, and we're now looking for a new colleague based primarily in Grängesberg. With us, you'll be part of a helpful and unpretentious group where collaboration, knowledge sharing, and service are in focus.
About the Role In this position, you'll ensure that salaries and compensation are correct and paid on time. You're responsible for ensuring that payroll administration runs smoothly from start to finish and are an important support to both managers and employees with questions regarding salary, contracts, and compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the entire payroll process, including payroll runs, controls, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure that salaries, compensation, and deductions are handled correctly in accordance with legislation, collective agreements, and internal guidelines.
Handle employment administration in HR systems.
Administer schedules and time reporting and support system users.
Handle travel and representation expense reimbursements in the expense management system.
Responsible for inputting documentation, files, and quality assurance before payroll runs.
Perform account reconciliations and handle reporting of taxes and employer contributions.
Execute annual processes such as vacation year changeover in the payroll system.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in payroll, HR, economics, or another relevant field, such as from a vocational school or college/university.
Several years of experience in payroll administration and experience independently managing all or part of the payroll process.
Good computer skills and ability to quickly learn new systems; experience with SDWorx payroll system is a merit.
Strong knowledge of collective agreements and relevant legislation such as the Sick Leave Act and leave laws.
Good understanding of salary and compensation matters, taxes, benefits, and representation rules.
Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
