Speech-Language Pathologist Needed for Temporary Position at Stockholm Habilitation Unit

Welcome to us We're seeking a speech-language pathologist who is playful, engaged and experienced in habilitation, eating and swallowing disorders, and AAC. Stockholm Habilitation Unit serves children with motor functional impairments, often with additional diagnoses, ages 2-6 years. Children receive intensive habilitation two days per week in groups of five. Children come to the unit together with an educator from preschool. During the week, the unit receives two groups of children. Children are referred from the Region's Habilitation Center, which transfers habilitation responsibility during one or more training periods (terms). This position is a temporary contract and you will have a fixed-term employment. Wellness allowance in proportion to length of employment, read more about the city's benefits here Your role You will be the treatment coordinator based on your professional role for the enrolled children. Together with other professional categories, you are responsible for the child's habilitation planning and work as a team toward the established goals. Your work includes assessment and treatment in the areas of speech, language, communication and eating and swallowing ability. You are responsible for setting goals for the children's treatment based on your expertise and continuously following up on these goals. You guide guardians and preschool staff and are responsible for the communication aids that children need, both fitting and follow-up. You lead groups together with others on the team and conduct individual treatments where needed. Stockholm Habilitation Unit is a small operation where everyone helps to make it function, which means you will also perform tasks not directly related to your professional training. Your competence and experience We're looking for someone who: • is a licensed speech-language pathologist • has experience working with pediatric habilitation • has knowledge and experience with eating and swallowing disorders • is well-versed in AAC (preferably with experience in PODD) • has experience working with children with motor functional impairments • has strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing. You are comfortable leading groups with children and accompanying adults. You are responsible and flexible. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team with others.
