Light Designer at Ateljé Lyktan
Do you want to be part of creating light environments that make a difference for people, architecture, and experiences? We are now seeking a light designer for a parental leave replacement position where you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects in close collaboration with customers, architects, and colleagues.
The position is a parental leave replacement starting in November 2026 or by agreement, and covers at least 12 months.
About the Role
As a light designer at Ateljé Lyktan, you will work on developing and visualizing lighting solutions for different types of projects and environments. The role combines creative light design with technical engineering and consulting, where you are responsible for creating solutions that contribute to function, experience, and sustainability. You will work independently on your projects while collaborating closely with colleagues and external partners throughout the project process.
Examples of Work Tasks
Develop light concepts and lighting solutions
Perform lighting calculations and engineering
Create presentation and engineering documentation
Provide consulting on light design and lighting technology
Participate in customer meetings and project reviews
Ensure that solutions comply with relevant standards and requirements
Contribute specialized expertise in light and lighting environments
We are Looking for You with
Qualifications
Academic education in light planning, light design, or equivalent
At least two years of experience in light design, light planning, or lighting engineering where you have independently performed lighting calculations and engineering
Strong knowledge of Dialux Evo and AutoCAD
Knowledge of lighting standards
Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
It is an asset if you have experience with environmental certifications such as WELL and BREEAM and management systems.

You have good specialized expertise in light design and enjoy translating knowledge into solutions that create value for customers and projects. You find it easy to communicate your expertise in a clear and pedagogical way and appreciate collaborating with people from different areas of expertise. As a person, you are organized, methodical, and responsible. You work with high quality in what you deliver and at the same time have a strong focus on customer needs. You are used to working toward set deadlines and have a good understanding of the importance of following processes, requirements, and guidelines.
