At Lindholmens Technical Gymnasium we are now seeking a curious, pedagogical, and forward-thinking principal for our IMY programs. You don't need to have previous experience as a principal from the start, but it's beneficial if you've tried leading development processes and groups at a gymnasium. What matters most is your pedagogical leadership and drive for school development and technology, your commitment to vocational education, and your willingness to lead and develop the operations together with us. It is advantageous if you have experience working with or driving development processes within student welfare services. We also see that you are knowledgeable and understand the importance of student administration processes. With us, you will never stand alone in your assignment. You will receive close and secure support in your daily work from your nearest principal colleagues at the school. Moreover, you will be part of a collegial network together with principal colleagues within the gymnasium area and your educational director. Job Responsibilities As principal, you have overall pedagogical responsibility as well as personnel and budget responsibility for your school unit. You lead and support your colleagues in daily work and create conditions for a safe and developing study environment. You participate in the school's and gymnasium area's management groups, report to the educational director, and collaborate closely with your principal colleagues to advance Lindholmens Technical Gymnasium and the gymnasium area. The role includes: Together with other principals, lead, plan, and evaluate systematic quality work based on the education committee's mandate. In this role, you ensure that the school's multiprofessional collaboration is maintained and developed. Be the direct manager for student welfare services at the school, and lead student welfare's overall work with the management group and development group. Drive strategic pedagogical development and create engagement among staff members. Build and maintain good relationships with industry and business. Responsible for the unit's finances, work environment, and personnel matters. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is confident in your pedagogical role, has good communication skills, and applies trust-based leadership. You are receptive, have a structured working method, and are driven by seeing both students and colleagues grow. Requirements for the position: Relevant pedagogical higher education (teacher with gymnasium certification). Completed recruitment training for prospective principals. Experience as a teacher in gymnasium school. Experience developing and driving school development with the help of student welfare's multiprofessional competencies at the school where you have worked. Good IT skills, knowledge of administrative systems, and very good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing. Meritorious: Started or completed principal training and completed leadership training such as Morgondagens chef or equivalent. Experience collaborating with and/or managing student welfare and student administration as well as introduction programs. Experience with shorter or longer assignments as acting principal. Special education experience. Experience with systematic quality work (SKA) in gymnasium school. Experience working in or understanding vocational programs and industry collaboration.
