Our Offer
Children's and Women's Center (BKC) is a multi-county production unit within Region Östergötland (RÖ). The Children's and Women's Center consists of four clinics with operations at all of the region's hospitals and smaller outpatient clinics throughout the county. BKC provides extensive county and regional healthcare. The center has approximately 1,200 employees including physicians, nurses, midwives, nursing assistants, pediatric care assistants, care administrators, paramedical staff and socio-therapeutic personnel. BKC provides clinical training to approximately 200 students per year, including specialist and exchange students.
H.K.H. Crown Princess Victoria's Children's and Youth Hospital is part of Linköping University Hospital. We offer both county-level care and highly specialized regional and national care to children and adolescents between 0-18 years with both medical and surgical needs. We have four inpatient wards at Linköping University Hospital and outpatient clinics at both Linköping University Hospital and Motala Hospital.
As part of the University Hospital, research and education are highly prioritized and we actively work to develop care and our children's and youth hospital.

Job Description
We offer a position as a substitute junior physician for 6 months. In your role as a junior physician, you will work in both outpatient and inpatient care. You will be part of our primary on-call team with on-call duties in the evenings, nights and weekends where you work with the support of backup on-call and neonatal backup on-call that are hospital-based. At the beginning of your position, you will receive an introduction that includes work assignments at various parts of our operations and participation in emergency drills as well as a one-week internal introductory training together with, among others, resident physicians from primary care. During your position with us, you will have a designated mentor so that, if relevant in the future, you can credit this time toward a potential residency in pediatrics and adolescent medicine.

The clinic has approximately 65 physicians of which currently 13 resident physicians and we conduct active internal training especially for younger physicians.

Application and Employment
We are looking for a substitute junior physician at 100%. The position is for 6 months with a start date of November 1 or by agreement. Extension of the substitution or conversion to a resident position may become relevant.
