Welcome to the Department of Infectious Diseases! The Role of Licensed Physician You will primarily work with inpatient care at the infectious disease department's ward. The position also includes outpatient clinic work and on-call duty. During on-call shifts, you are responsible for the ward's patients with good support from the backup team and provide medical advice to other departments. Your Future Workplace The Department of Infectious Diseases is based in Jönköping and serves as the county's knowledge center for infectious diseases. The clinic consists of a care unit with 24 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consultation and advisory services conducted in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. Currently, a pilot program for hospital-in-home care is underway, where patients can receive parts of their antibiotic treatment at home. The clinic is characterized by motivated staff working in teams, collectively fostering a good collaborative climate. Your Profile We are seeking a licensed physician interested in trying the specialty of infectious disease medicine for a temporary position from December 2026 until August 2027 at the latest. You have a genuine interest in infectious diseases. Experience with the Cosmic medical records system is a merit, and we prefer that you hold a valid driver's license. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and confident in your professional role. You work well with others and contribute to a good collaborative climate. You can plan and prioritize your work and adapt when conditions change. Work can periodically be fast-paced. Therefore, you need to be flexible and maintain professional conduct even in pressured situations. You are empathetic, service-oriented, and treat both patients and colleagues respectfully.
