Dietitian Unit Primary Care Paramedicin Sörmland About Us In Sörmland, all dietitians are organized within a dietitian organization that is part of the regional clinic Paramedicin Sörmland. Currently, there are almost 50 dietitian colleagues in Sörmland. The primary care and specialist care units work closely together, which offers opportunities to change your assignment over time if desired. The primary care dietitians' mission is to care for patients of various ages who are referred to us by the county's 31 health centers. Reception work takes place at the health center, and you work closely with other professionals at the health center, which promotes collaboration around patients. Depending on the size of the health center, you work as a dietitian either full-time at a large health center or part-time at two smaller health centers. In Sörmland, we have a well-developed network of dietitian colleagues who meet regularly, share a great sense of community, and are never more than a Teams link or phone call away. We are now seeking a new colleague for the primary care team with assignments in western Sörmland, including Katrineholm, Flen, Malmköping, and Vingåker. The position we are filling will care for patients referred from health centers in Flen and Malmköping. Your Tasks Our work is based on evidence-based guidelines and ethical codes. We work according to the nutrition care process, which involves assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of nutrition-related problems and documentation according to NCP. The work also includes assessing the need for and prescribing nutritional supplements. The work is varied and you will meet patients of different ages. Patient contacts can take place individually at the clinic, in the form of remote visits, or as group education. A dietitian can be part of a team with other professionals at the health center for, for example, lifestyle-related diagnoses. Education for the health center's staff and collaboration with child health services are part of the assignment, as well as cooperation with staff in municipal home care regarding patients with nutrition problems. Your Competence We are looking for you who are a registered dietitian, preferably with experience working in primary care. Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement, both spoken and written. You should have an interest in working with the patient's overall well-being together with other professional categories, while bringing your nutrition expertise. You are organized and self-directed and have good teamwork skills. Digital technology for communication is used frequently, for example for video visits, which means you need to have an interest in this and be willing to learn if you are unfamiliar with it. As travel may occur as part of the job, a B-class driver's license is desirable. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and flexibility.
