JOB DUTIES The Elderly Administration's Health and Medical Care Organization is responsible for health and medical care throughout Karlskrona municipality in both ordinary housing and in our special residences as well as short-term care. Our team in Karlskrona municipality is now looking for a new colleague who wants to work as a Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist together with a great team! With us, you will meet patients of all ages who need health and medical care and/or preventive health measures in their home, at special residences and/or short-term care activities. The work is independent and you plan your own schedule most days. In your role as a Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist with us, you perform individual assessments and develop rehabilitation plans, guide, instruct and delegate rehabilitation measures to patients, relatives and care staff, prescribe exercise and mobility aids, and work with improvement initiatives. You work with, among others, patients who have problems with the musculoskeletal system, neurological diseases, pain, gait and balance difficulties and mobility problems. In the organization there is a stroke team and fall prevention work through, for example, balance groups. We are engaged and driven and constantly work on improvement initiatives. The closest work group consists of Licensed Physiotherapists/Physical Therapists and Rehabilitation Assistants. We work in an interprofessional and person-centered manner and there are good conditions for collaboration with other professions as we share an office building with, among others, the Elderly Administration's Occupational Therapists, Nurses and Social Workers. We have a well-functioning work method where cases are prioritized by coordinators. This frees up time for patient work and it is also experienced positively to get to see different parts of the municipality. Cases are handled during absence which reduces stress and provides greater opportunity to help each other. The administrative part of the work can be performed remotely at certain times. There is an opportunity for skills development according to your wishes and we share our competence and knowledge to learn from each other, both in daily work and during professional meetings. QUALIFICATIONS Licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist. Experience working with elderly and people with disabilities is meriting but we also believe that with curiosity and willingness you can go far. The position requires a driver's license category B. Work as a Physiotherapist/Physical Therapist requires an obvious respect for other people and attentiveness to individual patients' needs. Good treatment of patients, relatives, colleagues and other professionals is of great importance. Since patients' needs are constantly changing, the assignment places high demands on flexibility and the ability to be proactive and see opportunities instead of obstacles. You should be good at collaborating, have good planning skills and be able to organize work independently. You should have good computer skills and not be uncomfortable with new technology.
