The Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department is now seeking an engaged and confident licensed nurse for a key role as nursing manager in the day surgery and postoperative unit at Lindesbergs Hospital. As a nursing manager, you will become an important part of the department's daily operations. Day Surgery and Postop at Lindesbergs Hospital is a varied department where we care for patients from several different specialties, including orthopedics, surgery, women's health, otolaryngology, and community dental care. As a nursing manager, you have a central function in daily operations. You work closely with the department's staff and collaborate with physicians, operating room and anesthesia personnel, and other professional groups. You are responsible for creating structure and oversight of the day's activities and actively contribute to ensuring that patient flows, staffing, and resources are used efficiently and safely. The role also involves being an important role model and support for your colleagues in clinical work. Work Duties . Lead and coordinate daily operations and plan and distribute tasks based on patient flow and staffing. . Maintain an overview of today's patients and the department's capacity. Prioritize and make decisions when conditions change. . Coordinate collaboration between different professions and departments. Promote efficient, safe, and secure patient flow. . Support nurses and other staff members in daily work and participate in clinical care when operations require it. . Responsible for and participate in medication management and handling of advanced medical equipment, and contribute to the development and improvement of procedures and work methods. We're seeking someone who is a licensed nurse and who wants to take greater responsibility for daily operations. You don't need to have held a formal leadership role before. The most important thing is that you have a genuine interest in leading, coordinating, and creating structure. We would like to see experience from, for example: . Acute care. . Pre- and postoperative care. . Intermediate care. . Day surgery. . Other operations where you have needed to prioritize and make independent decisions. Experience in work management or coordination is a merit. To succeed in this role, you need to be confident, organized, and solution-oriented. You have the ability to stay calm even when the pace is high and can quickly reprioritize when operational needs change. You communicate clearly and work well with different professional groups. At the same time, you are unpretentious and see it as self-evident to contribute clinically when the situation requires it. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. About the Department The Anesthesia and Intensive Care Department operates at the county's three hospitals: Universitetssjukhuset Örebro, Karlskoga Hospital, and Lindesbergs Hospital.
