As a Lead Boat Builder, you'll play a key role in shaping both our products and the way we build them. This is our highest technical role within production. While the position has no formal people management responsibility, you'll be a trusted technical expert, coach, and role model, helping your colleagues solve complex challenges and continuously improve the way we work. What you'll do As a Lead Boat Builder, you'll spend your time where you create the greatest value – on the production floor. You'll: Act as the technical expert for complex builds, troubleshooting and problem-solving. Coach and support Boat Builders through hands-on guidance and knowledge sharing. Help establish and maintain high standards in quality, safety and craftsmanship. Drive continuous improvements by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions. Support the introduction of new products, production methods and tools. Collaborate closely with Production Area Managers and cross-functional teams to improve operational performance. Contribute to onboarding and developing the technical capability of the production team. Who you are You're an experienced boat builder or manufacturing professional with outstanding technical skills and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. You enjoy solving difficult technical challenges and naturally become the person colleagues turn to for advice. Rather than leading through authority, you lead through expertise, collaboration and credibility. We're looking for someone who has: Extensive hands-on experience in boat building or advanced manufacturing. Strong technical problem-solving skills. A high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Experience coaching or mentoring colleagues in a production environment. A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for developing better ways of working. A strong commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.
