Alarm and Security Installer / Installation Technician
About the job
We are growing and looking for someone who wants to work hands-on with the installation of security systems – CCTV cameras, burglar alarms, access control systems, and automation.
You don't need to have worked in security before, but we would appreciate it if you have experience from the electrical industry, low-voltage systems, telecommunications/data, network installation, or similar installation work.
You will become part of our team and work alongside experienced technicians and project managers. You will start with installation and assembly, and then grow into programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Your responsibilities:
Cable routing and installation in customer facilities
Installation of detectors, cameras, alarm panels, card readers, and other equipment
Wiring and basic commissioning
Basic troubleshooting together with an experienced technician
Maintenance and service of existing systems
Documentation of completed work
Maintaining order and a professional appearance at the customer's site
Who are we looking for?
We are primarily looking for someone who is careful, responsible, and enjoys hands-on work. You are interested in technology and want to learn more.
You are friendly and professional with customers, arrive on time, and complete what you start.
You are not afraid to ask when you are unsure – you would rather do it right from the beginning.
We believe you have:
Experience in installation work – electrical, low-voltage, telecommunications/data, networking, alarms, or similar
Practical experience working with tools and assembly
Basic understanding of cables, voltage, and wiring
Swedish proficiency in speech and writing
Class B driver's license
Extra qualifications of interest:
Experience with networking and IP technology, previous work with cameras, alarms, or access control systems, or knowledge of KNX or smart home installations. Electrical or telecommunications training, or alarm system/ELS training, is also a plus.
Why AO Group?
With us, you become part of a united and unpretentious team where interest in technology and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday work. We work on everything from smaller installations to advanced security projects.
We have short decision-making processes and you get to work closely with colleagues who are happy to share what they know. For the right person, there are excellent opportunities to develop further toward programming, commissioning, and more advanced technical assignments.
Your working days normally start at 08:00 at the customer's location, and the position includes a company vehicle.
Security clearance
The position involves work in security-sensitive environments and for customers with high security requirements. Security clearance and background checks will therefore be conducted.
