Amerikanska Gymnasiet was founded on a strong pedagogical philosophy. Our guiding principle is that "we work for our students and staff to reach their full potential". About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Gothenburg
On Lindholmen, next to Karlatornet, our newly built school is located, which we moved into in fall 2024. The school has approximately 610 students studying in the Natural Science, Technology, Economics, or Social Science programs. Teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English by a competent and dedicated teaching team with strong cohesion.
About the Role
As a substitute teacher in modern languages, you will teach our students in one or more of the following languages: Spanish, French, German, and Italian. You will teach our students when the regular teacher is absent. Lesson materials are sometimes prepared by the responsible teacher, but you may also be responsible for preparations yourself. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, which you will receive guidance on. You will teach in a digital environment with digital learning materials in combination with traditional literature.
This is a hourly position where you work as needed. There is a demand for good availability and great flexibility, where we may call you in for substitute work with short notice on the same day. Start date as soon as possible. The employment runs until 2027-06-13.
Your Profile
We are primarily seeking someone with teacher certification and/or teaching experience. It is a merit if you have qualifications to teach one of the following languages: Spanish, French, German, or Italian. The position also requires good knowledge of Swedish and English. You have strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop our operations together with a strong team of colleagues, and you share our pedagogical approach:
