About Amerikanska Gymnasiet, Halmstad The school is located on the Halmstad University campus. The school is now in its fifth academic year and has approximately 130 students studying in the Science, Business, or Social Science programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a skilled teaching team with a strong sense of community. About the Role As a teacher substitute, you will teach our students when regular teachers are not present. You are expected to lead lessons according to our pedagogical structure, which you will receive guidance on. You will teach in a digital environment using digital educational materials combined with traditional literature. Teaching takes place in both Swedish and English. This is a hourly position where you work as needed. There is a demand for good availability and great flexibility, where we may call you for substitute teaching with short notice on the same day. The employment runs through academic year 26/27. Start date as soon as possible. Your Profile We are primarily looking for someone with teaching certification and previous teaching experience. You have strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the school together with a strong team of colleagues, and you share our pedagogical approach: https://www.amerikanskagymnasiet.se/om-skolan/tankar-om-skola/. We are looking for you to lead in line with our motto "Ramar & Kramar," which means clear leadership and clear rules combined with strong care for each student. With your energy, attentiveness, and perseverance, you easily engage and create participation toward shared goals. Teamwork and transparency are key words. You are expected to have good communication in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. You have the ability to use a wide range of digital learning tools and you have stable digital competence. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
