We are now recruiting SVA teachers for JENSEN adult education in Stockholm. With us, you get to decide when and how much you want to work while gaining valuable work experience.
JENSEN adult education is for those who want to develop in their professional role and contribute to our students' success. As a teacher with us, you will have the opportunity, together with engaged colleagues and present managers, to develop and apply the study format's possibilities for adults. You have great freedom to design your teaching in a way that challenges and develops your course participants.
Tasks and Areas of Responsibility
Jensen has 5 schools in Stockholm (Fridhemsplan, Medborgarplatsen, Liljeholmen, Kista, Skärholmen) and as an employee you can work at any of these.
Teach in both classroom and distance settings.
As a qualified teacher, take full responsibility for teaching within your subject combination.
Motivate and coach students toward good study results and positive knowledge development according to national curriculum guidelines.
Adapt teaching to different prior knowledge levels and individualize the approach.
Handle course administration (e.g., grading, feedback, introduction, placement testing).
Actively contribute to the unit's development and work toward achieving the organization's goals.
We are looking for you who:
Are a high school teacher in SVA, Swedish as a second language.
Are resident in Stockholm.
Have a teaching degree, or are near completion of teacher studies at a college/university.
Are administratively inclined and understand the full scope of administrative tasks within the teaching profession.
Meritorious is experience teaching at adult education institutions.
You are accustomed to working with students at different levels, can adapt your communication, and have experience with different study paces. As a person, you are engaged, inspiring, and coaching. You are creative, responsive, and responsible, and thrive in a high-pace environment.

The position is an hourly employment or a fixed-term employment, starting as agreed.
