About the Workplace
Folkasboskolan is a school with approximately 360 students from preschool through grade 9. Pålsboda is just under 3 miles from Örebro (25 minutes by car) and approximately 1.5 miles from Kumla and Hallsberg (15 minutes by car). The school is located in the heart of the community with well-established dialogue with the local area and proximity to beautiful surroundings and nature.
The school consists of three work teams: grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, each led by a development leader with dedicated time for the role. The pedagogical staff's qualifications and competence are very strong. Student welfare is an integral part of the school's overall work and includes all statutory professions as well as study and career guidance and school attendance coaches. The school leadership, including the principal and assistant principal, have been at the school for many years and work close to operations with a strong focus on students' development and learning together with the entire team. Systematic quality work drives the school's operations, and the school is currently further developing teaching quality throughout the school day in dialogue with the Swedish National Agency for Education.
About the Position
Starting week 45, we are seeking a substitute with qualifications to teach grades 4-6 in science and mathematics who can convey passion for these subjects. We are looking for someone with strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain concepts in different ways based on students' needs. Our students express that they need a teacher who works with them on preparation, implementation, and follow-up. Students want a teacher who is clear, uses varied teaching methods, is encouraging, and helps them understand they can succeed. Varied instruction and flexibility based on the group's needs and interests are core to our approach. You will primarily be responsible for teaching students in grade 6. The position includes mentoring with an experienced mentor colleague.
